Stories have power. They delight, enchant, touch, educate, recall, inspire, move, challenge. They help us understand. They imprint a picture on our heads. Tell a story. – Janet Litherland

I also have a narrative. Last friday, March 2nd 2012, 18 of us, had an experience of a life time when we met Mr. Suresh Hundre, CMD of Polyhydron group of firms, Belgaum.

sympathy notesHe’s an incredible mix of ambition, humility, success, spirituality, expertise, nation adoring, value driven, super confident and much more. Having one such quality for many people will make us feel proud of ourself. Having all of them in ONE guy, was never expected by me, however it was real. Assembly him made me realise, this really is just the kind of guy I was unknowingly searching my lifetime. It could have been brilliant to find him within me. Yet, as a consolation, I located him outside me.

Before 25 years, his business hasn’t paid one rupee as bribe nor generated a single rupee as black money. If you loved this post and you wish to receive details about thank you for sympathy – http://tekbeasts.com/ – i implore you to visit the web site. His group firm’s turnover is about 125 crores. He works at a profit margin of about 40%. For every working hour, he pays an income tax of Rs 50,000/-.

He shares his riches open heartedly, with his employees. In the last 4 years, every employee has a bonus of 100%. It was a privilege to share a couple of hours with him. He’s simply incredible.

Having a wry smile he shared, Before, we too would take shortcuts and save a few hundred here, a thousand there by cheating and other malpractices. One episode changed my life forever. He was utmost tainted. We were rested for we believed since he was tainted he could be managed’. He, nevertheless, had other plans in his program. The IT officer needed a promotion. For that he needed to file this case to demonstrate his abilities. With sympathy in his voice that tainted officer told me, generally he’d taken something and we’d have settled the matter. You see, if he did that he WOn’t get promoted. After promoted, his share of bribes will go up. Mr. Suresh Hundre was very furious with the inspector. It turned out to be a burning point.

Many Indian businessmen do this as common practice. Even she had to be there in the court when the hearing was on. For errors done by him, his wife was now paying the price and bearing as an offender. She was innocent in truth although not in the eyes of law. This burning point became his turning point. He felt a profound sense of shame and vowed to make corrections.

He determined, he can face any challenge, however he will never pay a single paise as bribe and he’ll never create just one rupee as black money.

While many of us would have gone through this type of humiliation, we might have chosen an easy path out. For a few instants our conscience would have troubled us, shortly it will be conveniently forgotten. It might have remained as a burning stage.

Till today all of us desired to believe, in our love India, doing business without corruption is impossible. We desired to believe, in our love India, becoming successful without corruption is hopeless. We wanted to believe Honesty is no more the FINEST policy’.

All of us were exposed. Our mental frailties were exposed. Our need for a life of convenience and not a life of principles was exposed.

Using a nostalgic look in his eyes, Mr Suresh Hundre said, It hasn’t been easy. It has been very quite challenging. However, it has been WORTH IT. And he grinned a smile at all people.

It was a moment that can often be etched in my own thoughts. That smile! It was not a smile of arrogance. It was not a grin that challenged you. It was a grin filled with encouragement. It was a smile that the grandfather has when he shares a naughty youth secret along with his grandchildren and also the grandchildren are a little scandalized but in absolute amazement of the grandfather. Ahaaa! To be there in those seconds was utter ecstasy.

Mr. Suresh Hundre said, I don’t ask any one to follow my trail. For, this path is hard. Walking on this particular trail can’t be forced. It must come from an extremely deep want. All that I request is, cease saying it is not possible. Begin saying, IT’S POSSIBLE.

When we bid farewell to Mr. Hundre, I read the rear decal on his Reva, Merely a drop in the ocean. Yes indeed a drop in the ocean. However, not just’ a drop. He is the drop that becomes the pearl. He is that pearl which is the rarest and the most prized.

Thank you Mr Suresh Hundre. You’ve got inspired all 18 of us. My dear reader buddies, I believe, through this story’ you too must have been inspired. It’s Possible !!!

With lots of love, prayers and best wishes,
