I want to thank you for your workshop. When I came here I didn’t know where my life was going. Now you have given me hope and some steps I can take to make my life better.

There is no doubt that self helping a problem such as depression is hard. Often it is even harder to maintain progress.

This caused me to search hard to find answers ‘” techniques and tools that can be used to effectively cope with problems. I wanted to find coping skills that my clients could use to self help depression and other problems.

By reading and studying journal articles, books, research reports, and case histories, I have been able to gather a collection of such tools. I found that these tools not only helped people make desired changes ‘” they helped them maintain those changes.

Thus, I consider these tools to be keys to successful change. They seemed to be the coping skills needed to transform negative feelings, thoughts, and behaviors into positive feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

These skills were found scattered through the scientific research and the people-helping-experiences of some of today’s most well known psychologists and psychiatrists.

I also learned that the techniques of effective change taught by pioneers in the mental health field are much the same as those taught by religious leaders and leaders in the area of personal development and success.

As I learned how people successfully overcome problems, I shared the information with my clients. They, then, applied the coping skills to their own problems. The outcome was reported back to me.

This list was revised, refined, and finally, organized into a step-by-step training program ‘” A program designed to help people learn the coping skills needed to self help depression and other problems.
