Why are we not even remotely prepared as individuals and families despite the abundant resources we have as a nation? Recently, I began to search for answers to that basic question…
As you’ll soon learn, the powers that be don’t want you and I to be prepared. They want us 100% reliant on THEM! They depend upon the status quo and will do everything in their power to keep it. Believe it or not, the system is setup for you to fail.
Now, before you start thinking you know the answer, what I’m about to share with you has nothing to do with socialism. This is the regrettable story of how we’ve backed ourselves into a corner as a nation…
And what we as Americans unwittingly allowed generations ago will ultimately be our undoing, I firmly believe this, but I’m getting ahead of myself.
Ultimately, I’m not expecting you to believe what I say right now. I merely ask that you keep an open mind and give the next few moments of your time to make my case.
Once you fully understand where we’ve been as a nation and, more critically, where we’re headed then you can make up your own mind as to whether we’ve been truly duped as a nation in the name of the almighty dollar or not.
You should find it upsetting that so many of us are outright unprepared for even the slightest threat when disasters, terrorism, and even outright crime are seemingly on the rise year after year.
In recent years, for example, there have been record tornadoes touchdown in the Midwest, hurricanes that constantly threaten the Gulf and southeast United States, blizzards and power outages across the northeast, earthquakes and wildfires in the West, severe drought seemingly everywhere west of the Mississippi, and strangely… destructive flooding as well.
Regrettably, we’re right on schedule for a Cascadia event'”a HUGE 9.0+ earthquake that will bring tsunami waves and worse'”to the Pacific Northwest where I live. Similarly, California is always overdue for “the Big One’� and, no doubt, it will be disastrous to the millions who call California home.
You’re no safer if you live 3000+ miles away either. Many major cities along the Gulf coast and southeast United States (including cities in Texas, Florida, and Georgia as well as neighboring states) are on borrowed time from major hurricane strikes. Remember the chaos that ensued after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans? That could easily be YOUR city. Just change the name.
Think you’re safest living in the Bible Belt? Think again. Before I moved from Missouri I recall many worrisome days from fear of tornado outbreaks. Recall the tornadoes that wrecked havoc in several Midwest states in 2011… it was one of the worst on record with 241 confirmed tornadoes touching down. Hundreds died and many more were injured. Damages totaled into the billions.
Perhaps scariest of all, Yellowstone'”the super volcano right in our own backyard'”is ever-threatening to erupt and, regrettably, we’re overdue by about 40,000 years for that too.
The list can easily go on and on. Amazingly, things seem to be getting worse with each passing year! Whether it’s a result of global warming or just Mother Nature at her worst, there’s a lot more that She can throw at us.
…if the roads are shut down for weeks on end due to a heavy snow storm, icy roads, or are simply impassable due to floods? What happens if YOU can get out but the stores can’t get shipments in from trucks that often travel a thousand or more miles to bring you food each day?
…for drinking, cooking, bathing, washing, personal hygiene, sanitation, your pets, and so on if your city’s water supply has been contaminated by flooding? What happens if a tsunami hits and does the same or worse?
…in the winter if there are at best rolling brownouts or, at worst, blackouts for weeks and months due to a massive earthquake that crippled an already fragile and interconnected electrical grid? What happens if this strikes during a sweltering heat wave? Heat stroke is every bit as dangerous as freezing to death.
…that always preludes an impending hurricane or snowstorm of our most precious supplies, including food, medicine, water and everything else that isn’t nailed down? What will you do if you or a loved one rely on life-saving medication or equipment?
…that resulted from a terrorist attack that will assuredly cause widespread panic, looting, rioting, and worse?
…be they desperate men willing to kill you for a can of beans to feed their hungry children or organized gangs intent on stealing everything you have all while performing unspeakable acts upon your loved ones in the process?
…that could easily result in quarantine or, worse, a pandemic that grips the entire nation for months to come? How will you get food, fuel, and medicine then?
They likely had no more food than you did when disaster struck and are probably about to ask you! And help? By now they’re in just as much trouble as you are.
I hate to break it to you but there are nearly 50 million Americans who already have this plan… they’re the one in six (and growing) that already live on food stamps. You’ll need to take a number and get in line behind them.
First, however, let’s better understand why we’re in such trouble as a nation so that we can then understand why my solution makes sense…
