Below is his simple and easy “Zero To Six Figure” 7 step formula to launching your own business without capital, connections, or experience.
1. Stop Thinking: At the moment, your mind is not your ally. Creating a dream life, becoming your own boss, and generating 10x your annual salary are easy for your heart to believe but your mind will need more convincing. The only way to convince your mind is by taking small steps.
2. Find a concept: Answer this simple question: If you had to teach a class, what would it be? The answer will pop into your head immediately. It doesn’t matter how big or small you perceive this to be or how much value you think it has, this is your “sweet spot” and how you will start your first tiny business that will eventually turn into a six figure lifestyle company. (Feel your mind pulling you away like a momma bear snatching a cub getting too close to a fire?)
3. Create a Crash Course: The goal here is to provide super value to your customer. Don’t waste too much time here (we only invest once validated) and simply create a bunch of bullet points of what you want to teach or share, a simple guide to how you’re going to do it.
4. Draw an Offer: Here’s where it gets exciting! You’re going to create an offer to deliver your value. The best way, in my opinion, to display an offer is to target the exact recipient and speak to them. The second best would be to call them. Then would be to send a personalized sales letter. Followed by pushing traffic to a website where an offer is being displayed. They can all be done for zero or little investment and not having resources actually forces you to target the customer more precisely which will lead to more sales.
Think of your offer and target customer as having only one blow dart. It must be correctly aimed and powerful enough to “get them.” Bigger brands take shotgun approach and some of the mega brands take a “nuclear” approach.
5. Deliver First: One day my father told me “Greg, 9 out of 10 people you meet in life are full of shit!” As jaded as this is, I’ve found it to be sad but true. To set up a cash generating machine, you’ll use this to your full advantage. While everyone else kills conversions and opportunity by asking for cash before proving their value, you’ll deliver first and then create a life time customer. In today’s instant gratification business climate, instead of asking for money today, you’ll prove your worth and then they’ll be chasing after you to give you cash.
6. Grow With “FOMO”: This is a concept I created and use to this very day in almost all of my sales and marketing pitches. One of the greatest triggers of human emotion is the “Fear Of Missing Out”. When you create something, teach someone, or offer something to someone, there is always others who will act solely because they don’t want to miss out.
Once you “get in” the industry through your corner kick testimonial approach, you can then begin approaching others and let them know they’re missing out.
7. Invest In Yourself: You’ve now built a solid base of people who all see you as an expert in this field. It’s time to actually turn this tiny little hobby into a cash spewing side business. Instead of sitting up at night, wishing you could “get in the game”, you’ve now took small action steps and built the confidence and belief to soon turn your mind into an ally and hit that six figure mark. Time to invest in yourself and grow into who you’ve always dreamed of becoming…
